Project Description

1,50,000 sq ft 5 Star Hotel
Madurai

Nestled amidst the rich backdrop of Pasumalai hill's greenery in Madurai, the property is home to a 150-year-old building. We were tasked with delivering a balanced design that drew on the heritage of Madurai while celebrating contemporary inspirations

Based on the client's specific requirements, the choices for materials and surface finishes were made with ease-of-maintenance in mind. Sleeper wood, laminates and brick panelling featured in this project's materials and surfaces gallery.

Madurai is home to thousands of peacocks and its most famous historical landmark, the Meenakshi Amman Temple, where a carved parrot is perched on the goddess' shoulder. Graceful details and motifs of the birds can be seen translated into furniture, soft furnishings and embroidery patterns on headboards and pillows.
