“The client was very happy with our process and appreciated the fact that we stuck to our designs and added value wherever possible. They liked the fact that we had incorporated their brand colours in a subtle way and approved our designs without any iterations in one go."
Multiple layouts were presented to maximise the number of workstations we could fit in the space. We created an owl installation on the curved partition behind the reception table that acted as a visual barrier between the reception and workspace, and created a stunning effect.
“The fact that the design was completed in 15 days and the entire space was ready in 35 days was the highlight of the project."
Brand colours were used in the lighting while quirky quotes and stickers gave the office a youthful, fun vibe. Glass partitions were incorporated in meeting rooms to enhance the large size of the office.
The customer’s dream project was brought alive, from 3D to reality. Made possible with design ingenuity, passion and relentless attention to detail.
To create a pattern of waves in the flooring of the very large expanse of the lobby, special marble slabs with a suitable pattern were sourced. They were then cut, reassembled and laid out to create a visually stunning effect of continuous waves, thus addressing aesthetics, utility and cost through design intervention.
“The execution was absolutely true-to-design. They delivered a completely livened space that re-energised our library!”
As per the Client's request, we designed the entry foyer in a traditional style, accentuated by intricate wooden carvings.
The sole exception in the house was one bedroom that deviated from the overall theme. It was styled with a Pastel theme, offering a stark contrast to the rest of the house which was styled with a Glam theme.
A perfect match between Marble and Gold comes together to create a cohesive balance.
We came up with an interesting arrangement for the bedroom by which we maintained its functionality and at the same time retained all key furniture elements without compromise.
The home was completely transformed. From chaos Pencil and Monk created clarity. The 3D rendering made the design so clear. And it was exactly what was delivered.
Multiple beams in the first floor living area required conscious design sense to avoid a flat ceiling, and reduced height. The beams were treated with a special finish. The cove design was reimagined based on the mapped beam layout and the result was spectacular.
“The inlay work on the marble floor created an impact beyond our expectations.”
We mapped existing furniture that was to be shipped in from Dubai, into the interior design, by working precise measurements into 3D space design. This helped make design decisions easy as we could repurpose existing furniture, perfectly place new pieces and in some cases where compactsolutions were required, curate and customise for the selected design.
Storage solutions were maximised with the roll-over full size display unit in thedining room which not only offered increased storage but also easy access. A concealed bar unit was created which fit snugly into the living room console. The open-plan dry kitchen, the adjacent wet kitchen and pantry, and the washer-dryer utility room perfectly met the real-life usage requirements of the household. Upstairs, favourite twin recliners were worked into the comfortablemaster bedroom design and two more tastefully fitted out bedrooms were carefully detailed.
Huge circular lights decorated with plants were provided from the ceiling of the work area.
Since this was to be Nissan’s headquarters in India, the office design needed to be on par with international trends with a clean open layout while also establishing Trivandrum as an emerging technological hub in South India.
The design that we submitted reflected the open, creative and collaborative nature of the company’s work culture and was liked by the client. Design interventions were in the reception, where a giant pillar was incorporated seamlessly into the rest of the space using super clear glass, which also made the space look bigger.
The white ceiling was aesthetically designed using the mundu as inspiration, which is the traditional garment worn in Kerala. Greenery was incorporated throughout the design space as well. Other homages to the state were made through Kerala murals painted on the body of a Nissan GT which was used as an installation.
The entire workspace was designed to optimise workflow and boost productivity, by using an open floor design. Eclectic and unusual meeting spaces were proposed like a hammock hub – a large suspended space, the outdoor conversation corner, created by using large concrete pipes and the Nissan Adda, a community space where employees could informally meet and interact in the evenings. Another high point was the installation of the Nissan Micra, created by using hundreds of miniature cars suspended from the ceiling.
